Andrew The Potter Studio
Andrew The Potter Studio, established in 2001, is based in Cambridge,
Ohio. Cambridge is located only minutes away from Zanesville, Roseville,
and Crooksville - towns known worldwide for their pottery.
When you purchase a piece from Andrew The Potter, you are guaranteed
a unique, hand-made piece. All pieces are hand crafted by Andrew from
slab or by using the wheel, never from a mold. The pieces are fired
in an electric kiln to midrange temperature of cone 6, or 2240 degrees
Fahrenheit, and use a variety of colorful, translucent glazes.
Although ceramics is the main medium of Andrew The Potter Studio, you
will also find many original, nature inspired paintings. The paintings
consist of oils and acrylics on canvas. All paintings are original
with no copies made.

Andrew Hoffer
Born in Zanesville, Ohio, I was taught at an early age to paint with
acrylics on canvas. I was later introduced to different mediums and
found my niche in ceramics. I graduated from Muskingum College in 2002
where I received a Bachelors Degree in Art Education. I am currently
an art teacher at West Muskingum High School.
I have a great appreciation for nature, which is prevalent in
all of my works. The blues, greens, and browns of my glazes and the
shapes of my pieces are inspired by the organic colors and shapes found
in nature. My paintings often depict nature's most awe-inspiring moments.
All of my pottery is hand-made, alternating between forming
mugs and vases on the wheel and sculpting candle holders and bowls from
slabs. My personal favorites are two-piece fountains using a combination
of both methods.
